Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has labelled the feeling of scoring his first goal in professional football as 'inspiring.'

After having a two-week international break to mull over their humiliating 6-1 loss to Tottenham, United returned to winning ways by hammering Newcastle 4-1 on Saturday night.

“It's a good feeling, quite an inspiring one.

“After that went in, the confidence is there to push on more.” Although it's hard to tell with his prowess at the back, Wan-Bissaka actually started his career as a forward in Crystal Palace's youth ranks and he also recalled the last goal he scored before Saturday's strike.

The right-back has explained what it means to score his first goal in nearly 100 professional games and has admitted he has his eyes set on more.

“I do, you know,” he added when asked if he remembered his last goal at youth level.

Wan-Bissaka himself put the game beyond doubt in injury time as he riffled the ball into the top corner after being played through by Marcus Rashford.
