Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Anthony Martial could face another spell on the sidelines after the Manchester United forward was ruled out of Wednesday night's Premier League clash against Tottenham.

Martial missed almost two months of action after suffering a thigh injury against Crystal palace in August, but the French star's return in October coincided with an upturn in fortunes for United.

However, Martial suffered a muscle strain late on in United's 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday, and missed out on Solskjaer's squad to face Tottenham - and Jose Mourinho - on Wednesday.

Mason Greenwood was handed a start in attack alongside Marcus Rashford in Martial's absence, and Solskjaer says United could be without the latter for another spell.

Speaking ahead of the game, Solskjaer told reporters: "Anthony got a slight injury on Sunday so he'll be out for a little while."
