Borussia Dortmund chiefs believe Manchester United have won the race to sign Jadon Sancho, beating Chelsea and Liverpool to his signature.

Manchester United are thought to be confident about landing the England international, despite negotiations halting recently due to the coronavirus outbreak.

And that confidence appears to be well placed, with figures at Borussia Dortmund increasingly convinced he will move to Old Trafford, according to the Evening Standard.

Sancho is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top transfer target and United are ready to make him the most expensive player in their history.

They will be forced to part with more than £100million, but there is an acceptance he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Old Trafford is expected to be his next destination, despite Chelsea being willing to match his valuation.

Some within Bundesliga side Dortmund suspect Liverpool will make a last ditch attempt to sign him but Jurgen Klopp is thought to be reluctant to spend so heavily on Sancho when he already has Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah at his disposal.

That’s not such an issue for United, who have been desperate to make him their right-wing option, with Ed Woodward ready to go all out to sign him in the summer.

Sancho turned down a move to Manchester last summer after they failed to qualify for the Champions League but the club are convinced they’re in a stronger position to land him this summer.
