Borussia Dortmund tell Man United they 'misjudged' Jadon Sancho transfer

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has claimed Manchester United "misjudged" any deal for Jadon Sancho.

Dortmund were willing to do business for the Englishman but only if United met their £108million valuation.



With Sancho remaining in Germany despite an understanding he would be allowed to leave if Dortmund's price tag was met, Watzke has claimed United 'misjudged' the situation by trying to negotiate on a fee.



As reported by MEN Sport, Sancho was United's top transfer target all summer.

With three years to run on his current deal and Sancho unlikely to become agitated, the club were confident of holding on to their star man with no problems unless their terms were met.

Throughout the summer there was plenty of back and forth between Dortmund and United in the media, mainly from the Bundesliga club.

He told ZDF Sports : "[They] misjudged the situation.
