The third round of the Carabao Cup is starting to take shape after the majority of the second round ties were played out on Tuesday night.

Just one Premier League club fell at the second round hurdle, with Crystal Palace losing an epic penalty shootout against Bournemouth, while the likes of West Ham, Newcastle and Aston Villa progressed.

The remaining second round games will be played on Wednesday and Thursday this week with the third round following shortly after and played on the week commencing 21 September.

The third round sees Premier League teams involved in Europe this season join the fray.
