Casey Stoney admitted she needs more experience in her Manchester United team if they are to compete at the top of the Women's Super League.

"It's a big week and it's a big game.

But we have matched them once and then bettered them here in the cup game, so that gives us confidence."

Despite Stoney believing Nick Cushing's City side have a level of experience which is sometimes lacking in her United side, there's a confidence they can cause an upset in the FA Cup this weekend.

They're not only established in this league but they're established senior players as well.

But summer transfers haven't been ruled out despite wanting to stick to her laurels of bringing through a young team.

"We've got young players who are learning and growing, some have never played in this league before," Stoney told the MEN when asked about how they bridge the gap between them and the top three.
