Borussia Dortmund assistant manager Jorg Heinrich says keeping Jadon Sancho will become very difficult.

“He should know Dortmund is an excellent place for young players to play consistently and to develop on a very, very high level.”

Earlier this month the Manchester Evening News named burgeoning talents Jadon Sancho, James Maddison, Declan Rice and Ben Chilwell as the quartet earmarked to turn United’s fortunes around.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed United made an approach for the exciting forward in the summer and was asked how close Sancho was to joining United.

A Premier League return has been mooted for the 19-year-old, with Manchester United among the clubs interested in signing Sancho.

We hope he plays one or two seasons longer but we all know very, very big clubs with a lot of money want to have him in their team.

“Sancho is not for sale.” However, Heinrich knows it will be a difficult task keeping the England teenager even with Dortmund’s commitment to giving young talent a pathway to the first team.
