Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has given his verdict on three controversial incidents in Manchester United's win at Burnley.

United claimed a 1-0 victory over the Clarets at Turf Moor on Tuesday night, thanks to Paul Pogba 's second-half strike.

It was a tight contest at Burnley, with several key talking points emerging during the 90 minutes.

On this occasion, Gallagher believes the correct decision was made.

"I think it's a foul (by Shaw) - so I think the referee should stop the game there - and it's a yellow card as well," said Gallagher.

The result lifted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's men to the top of the table, three points clear of Liverpool ahead of their trip to Anfield this weekend.

Gallagher believes the goal should have been allowed to stand.
