Brandon Williams said he did not fear coming up against Wolves wingers Adama Traore and Pedro Neto as he credited a solid defence as the key to Manchester United's FA Cup replay win.

However, Wolves opted to switch their wingers and pit Pedro Neto against Williams.

After keeping pacey winger Traore relatively quiet in the original tie at Molineux, Williams was again selected at left-back for the replay at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Williams, who put in another impressive display as United progressed thanks to Juan Mata's second half goal, admitted he was expecting to renew his battle with Traore for the replay.

Despite the tactical surprise, Williams told MUTV after the game that he was not fazed by coming up against either winger, as he helped United register an eighth clean sheet in his 16 senior appearances this season.

While Williams and his defensive colleagues did keep Wolves out, they were helped out by a VAR decision that saw Neto's early goal ruled out for a handball by Raul Jimenez as the ball broke to the winger.

"But a lot of the boys said it hit his hand and VAR proved that it did so the goal got ruled off and we managed to win the game."
