Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United are the three richest clubs in the world.

In comparison, Barcelona have won four league titles, one Champions League, the Super Cup, the World Club Cup, the Copa del Rey four times and the Supacopa twice.

Unsurprisingly, while United’s success doesn’t come close to the other two richest clubs, neither does their business in the transfer market.

Over the past six years, United have won the FA Cup, the Europa League and the League Cup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer previously claimed that he wanted all of United’s transfer business completed by the time we went on tour.

Real Madrid have won one league title, four Champions Leagues, three Super Cups, three World Club Cups, one Copa del Rey and one Supacopa.

It’s going to be a long season to follow if United don’t start even coming close to matching the ambition of the other richest clubs in the world.
