According to Sport Witness (h/t The Daily Star), Pilar Rubio, wife of Sergio Ramos, could help decide whether the player ends up at Manchester United.

The veteran defender is in the final few months of his contract at Real Madrid.



It is not the first time that United have been linked with Ramos.



Ramos is keen to stay put and extend what has been a 16-year-old stay in the Spanish capital.

Both Liverpool and United have been linked with the 34-year-old.

It was reported by the Athletic (Subscription Required) that Ramos is all set to stay on at Madrid.

With Ramos also set to take his wife’s preferences into account, the chances of him switching to England look remote.
