Liverpool star Fabinho admitted it will be tough to contend with a confident Manchester United side at Anfield this weekend.

The versatile Brazilian player named United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as the teams who could challenge Premier League title holders Liverpool this season.

“However, our focus isn’t exclusively on Manchester United.

“Playing against Manchester United is always a big opportunity, it’s a derby,” Fabinho said.

“They are definitely confident and enjoying a good momentum in the league,” Fabinho said, speaking before the United versus Burnley game.

With United and Liverpool now set to meet in successive weekends — first in the league showdown on Sunday and then in the FA Cup fourth round — Fabinho admitted he was excited about the two contests.

Paul Pogba scored the decisive goal in a hard-fought contest at Turf Moor, meaning United are now three points clear of Liverpool — who they face this weekend at Anfield.
