There are question marks over the fitness of several Manchester United players going into this weekend's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Fred, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Eric Bailly only returned to United training on Monday, while Bruno Fernandes began his work at the Aon Training Complex over the weekend.

United were given special dispensation by the Premier League to begin their season a week late, with their opening day fixture against Burnley postponed.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did not pick any of the aforementioned players for United's pre-season friendly against Aston Villa last weekend, as a weakened Reds side lost 1-0.

Mason Greenwood has been training alone after returning to the United Kingdom, having broken Covid-19 protocols while on England duty in Iceland.

Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford appear the only dead certs to start for United against Palace, having all played against Villa.

Brandon Williams, Daniel James, Scott McTominay and Jesse Lingard are also among those vying for a start against Palace.
