Fernandes has scored three goals and claimed four assists since moving to the Premier League

Fernandes, who captained Sporting Lisbon before his departure, can be heard slamming his team-mates for not wanting to play and chasing money.

The leaked message, reported by Portuguese newspaper Record, read: 'Bro, I don't say anything! I honestly, if you want me to tell you, I'd rather not comment on anything.

'I think very badly of some of the attitudes of some players. Actually not a certain attitude, it's an attitude that does not exist.

'There are players who have no attitude here, bro. They don't want to be here, they don't want to play.

'They don't want to be here then f*** off, let them say they don't want to play. They spend a year here getting money, and then they f*** off, bro. S*** attitude bro, for f**** sake.'

Fernandes' arrival has lifted the mood at Old Trafford with the club unbeaten in their last nine games since his move was finalised on January 30.

The 25-year-old has scored three goals and claimed four assists since joining United.

He clashed with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola in his most recent Premier League appearance and said he didn't regret the incident.

The Portuguese midfielder could be seen shushing Guardiola during a break in play

Fernandes, who shushed Guardiola, said of the clash during United's 2-0 win: 'Some people think like, "Pep won everything, who is Bruno to do this to him?" But I think it's about respect. Now, outside of the pitch, calm, I don't do this again if I'm on the pitch now.

'But at that moment, the words he told me made me mad and on the pitch I'm a little bit nervous. It's the kind of player I am.'

Fernandes and his Manchester United team-mates are currently training on their own as the Premier League is suspended and the nation have been told to stay at home.
