Manchester United face Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday afternoon with Solskjaer looking to win his sixth successive game as caretaker manager.

One player that is relishing the chance to play free-flowing football under the Norwegian boss is Lingard.

"That is what you need sometimes if a game is going well, you need a pick-me-up to remind yourself that you are a Man Utd player and you play with pride and passion."

Solskjaer took charge in December after Jose Mourinho's sacking and the former United striker has made it clear that he wants the job on a permanent basis.

"It feels like the old Man Utd, with Phelan being there too," says Lingard.

Many United fans are yet to decide if they want the 1999 Champions League winner Solskjaer as permanent boss at Old Trafford, but a victory over Spurs would give him a massive boost.

"He has got to know us a bit better and got to know how each player plays and what position they like and how they feel on the pitch in a certain position," Lingard added.
