Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Paul Pogba has been struggling with minor injuries, which is why he was left out of the Manchester United starting XI in the win over Newcastle United on Saturday night.

Solskjaer said that Pogba has had a couple of fitness issues, while also hinting that his form has perhaps not been what it could be of late.

Solskjaer's side recovered from a second minute Luke Shaw own goal thanks to a Harry Maguire equaliser, before Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Marcus Rashford secured the victory.

Solskjaer insists the Dutchman will get his chance and did not seem happy that his team selection was challenged after a victory on the road. 'He'll get his game-time.

He's been fantastic in the group,' Solskjaer said when asked about Van de Beek.
