Paul Pogba can leave United in the summer for £30 million less

According to the Sun (h/t Daily Mail), Manchester United have reduced their asking price for Paul Pogba in an effort to sell the midfielder in the summer.

United resisted advances for the wantaway French midfielder last summer. They are, however, willing to do business this time around for £30 million less.

The French World Cup winner’s recent injury record and the arrival of Bruno Fernandes has made the United hierarchy amenable to losing their star midfielder.

Pogba returned to Manchester in 2016 to much fanfare after four successful years with Juventus. Although he enjoyed initial success, it is fair to say that he has failed to perform on a regular basis.

It has been a poor repayment of the £100 million investment made on the player by the Red Devils.

Pogba’s valuation rose to £180 million following his impressive showing in leading France to the World Cup. United are now willing to do business for £150 million. This should still represent a healthy profit on a player who hasn’t lived up to expectations.

Zinedine Zidane was keen on bring the midfielder to Madrid but was unable to agree on a deal with United. However, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also in the fray.
