Manchester United chief Ed Woodward will only let Paul Pogba leave the club as part of a swap deal where a similar player is offered in return, according to reports in France.

United stood firm and did not let Pogba leave because his valuation was never met.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has publicly expressed his desire to keep Pogba at Old Trafford to pair the World Cup winner with Bruno Fernandes, who arrived from Sporting Lisbon in January.

French publication L'Equipe claims Pogba is 'swimming in happiness' now he has a top quality player alongside him.

It is claimed Woodward may be open to a swap deal should United be offered a player of a similar ilk to Pogba.

Fernandes and Pogba are expected to start together for just the second time and Solskjaer hailed the duo ahead of the trip to the Amex Stadium.

"The forward players know they have players behind them who can create something out of nothing," Solskjaer says.
