Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes it's a matter of time until Aaron Wan-Bissaka becomes part of the England set-up, but his latest Three Lions snub could turn out to be a bonus for Manchester United.

He will be picked soon enough."

The £45million right-back is still settling into life at Old Trafford and competition for a right-back berth in the England squad is fierce, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier currently ahead of Wan-Bissaka and his Manchester City counterpart Kyle Walker.

Having missed out on selection for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Montenegro and Kosovo, Wan-Bissaka will instead get a few days off as he continues to adjust to being a key fixture for United after his move from Crystal Palace.

"I think Aaron is going to get his time in the national team soon enough," he said.

Wan-Bissaka's misfortune is to be battling for a place in the England squad when Southgate has embarrassment of riches at right-back.

"It's not long ago he played in the reserves at Crystal Palace, then he played a great season last season.
