Ethan Laird says he is looking to showcase both sides of his game during his loan spell at League One side MK Dons.
He added: "Being a Manchester United player, you’re built with a winning mentality and now it’s an opportunity to for me to implement that in a professional environment.
The 19-year-old left Manchester United on loan for the remainder of the season last week and made his debut in the FA Cup defeat away at Burnley on the weekend.
The young right-back says he can't wait to show more of his attacking flair during his loan move - but he knows he will ultimately judged on his own defensive abililities.
“We as Man United players have that winning DNA so hopefully it will be easy for me to get adjusted, but that’s why I’m here - to gain that experience.”
“This week is about getting used to being around here and making sure I’m ready for Saturday - I’m going to be ready for that one and hopefully the manager will play me.”
Laird featured twice for United in the Europa League last season and he can't wait to now get his first extensive run in senior football.
“I want to be that player where, when I get the ball, people are wondering what I’m going to do next.
