The race to sign Red Bull Salzburg sensation Erling Haaland is heating up, with Juventus and Napoli both interested in the prolific teenager.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs after scoring 18 goals in just 11 appearances so far this season for Salzburg.

Having signed for the Austrian club in January of this year, the striker has already scored four hat-tricks, including one in the Champions League in a 6-2 rout of Genk.

Haaland has been heavily linked with Manchester United due to his connection with Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as it was the Norwegian that signed Haaland for Molde from his first club, Bryne.

However, Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli have now emerged as contenders for his signature, according to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.

Both are closely monitoring the forward’s situation and are likely to be part of any bidding war for him, should one emerge.

Haaland, who was born in Leeds as the son of former Whites midfielder Alf-Inge, has spoken out on the intense speculation over his future, labeling it ‘f*cking boring’.

‘The media attention is huge. It’s good pressure,’ said Haaland. ‘The club is good at shielding me a little, but I hope it will be more shielding in the future. It will be difficult, but we will try. I want to be shielded.

‘It’s f*cking boring. I’m bored now. How bored on a scale of 1 to 10? 9.9.’

The teenager has the chance to impress on the big stage again this week as he is in the Norway squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers at home to Spain and away in Romania.

Haaland has picked up two caps for his country so far but is yet to get on the score sheet for Lars Lagerback’s team.
