Manchester United have omitted Ethan Hamilton from their Champions League squad.

However, United removed Hamilton from their squad on the eve of the round-of-16 first leg with Paris Saint-Germain.

United have still retained teenagers Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood and James Garner on their European squad list.

Hamilton, 20, has only made the matchday squad once - in last season's FA Cup fifth round tie at Huddersfield.

Hamilton was initially retained following the closure of the January transfer window even though he joined League One side Rochdale on loan for the rest of the season last month.

"What Man United are going to look like next season with or without me, it doesn't really matter because I'm here now as part of that to prepare the team for next season.

Solskjaer has spoken repeatedly about the potential of the emerging academy talents at United and was mindful of certain youngsters' development amid the likelihood of summer signings.
