Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has not decided on Manchester United's new captain yet.

Lee Grant, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Romelu Lukaku sat out the game but Solskjaer expects Lukaku to be fit for the game against Leeds on Wednesday.

Solskjaer fielded 23 players since Luke Shaw came off injured late on but the United manager was pleased with the workout.

Former captain Antonio Valencia was released in the summer but hardly played last season and Ashley Young wore the armband for the majority of the campaign.

Young, 34, led United out in their pre-season friendly win against Perth Glory at the Optus Stadium and Juan Mata captained a different United XI in the second-half of their 2-0 win.

When asked if Paul Pogba would be considered, Solskjaer replied: "Yeah.

Solskjaer suggested United would not make a final decision on the new permanent skipper until they have finished their pre-season, which closes with a trip to Cardiff to play AC Milan on August 3.
