Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cannot guarantee Romelu Lukaku will still be a Manchester United player next season and Lukaku has hinted there could be movement next week.

Lukaku, 26, is eager to join Internazionale and the Serie A club's sporting director Piero Ausilio flew to London to meet United officials earlier this week to discuss a deal for the Belgian striker.

Lukaku started 15 of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's 29 games in charge of United last season and has felt marginalised since the Norwegian was appointed as caretaker manager in December.

Everton have a sell-on clause that entitles them to £5m from any fee Lukaku leaves for, which is partially why United want to obtain more than £75m from Inter.

The fee Lukaku commanded two years ago, his age and new Inter coach Antonio Conte's desire to sign Lukaku, having missed out on him when he was Juventus and then Chelsea coach, have driven up Lukaku's valuation.

Solskjaer expects Lukaku to be available for the friendly with Leeds United at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Wednesday but refused to say the Belgium international will stay at the club.

United have not quoted Inter a specific fee for Lukaku but believe his value is north of the £75m they paid Everton up front two years ago due to the inflated transfer market.
