Romelu Lukaku has dropped a hint over his future at Manchester United by saying he is expecting a busy summer as Inter Milan continue to target the Belgian forward.

“But that is a phase in my career and it will help me for the next step.” Pressed specifically by a journalist on a potential transfer to Inter, Lukaku said he would not comment.

Do I expect a busy summer?

The former Everton striker netted a brace in Belgium's 3-0 win over Scotland on Tuesday night and after the match he was asked about his future.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is understood to be interested in signing Lukaku, whom he coveted two years ago during his second summer in charge of Chelsea.

Lukaku only joined United two years ago but is yet to justify his £75million price tag.

The 26-year-old's first season at Old Trafford was encouraging as he netted 27 goals in all competitions but he struggled last term, scoring just 15 times - his lowest tally since the 2011-12 season, when he was fringe player at Chelsea.
