Manchester United have submitted a bid to sign Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to reports.

United have been in talks with David De Gea over a new contract but as of yet, no new deal has been agreed.

United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is not willing to match De Gea's terms.

According to the Daily Record, De Gea is 'unimpressed' with Woodward's refusal to meet his demands, while United are now actively seeking replacements.

United have submitted a bid for Onana but Ajax, who value the Cameroon international at €40 million, have rejected the offer.

United are also unwilling to meet Ajax's asking price for Onana and are considering Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen as an alternative signing.

Cillessen, who joined Barcelona from Ajax, is valued in excess of €25m by the Spanish champions but would be a cheaper alternative to Onana for United.
