Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has defended wantaway midfielder Paul Pogba but reaffirmed the club don't need to sell any players.

Pogba has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer, with Real Madrid and former club Juventus being the most likely destinations.

Yet Solskjaer insisted United 'don't have to sell players' and defended the Frenchman.

"What I have to say about Paul, for example, it looks like it's gonna be a media, I don't wanna call it... but it's an agenda against Paul," the Norwegian said on the club's pre-season tour in Australia.

"He's a top, top bloke. He's a great, great professional, he's never been any problems, he's got a heart of gold.

"We've not had any bids, from any clubs, that's all I can say about this matter."
