Jose Mourinho insists none of the Manchester United players have asked to leave ahead of the January transfer window.

Rojo is one of five central defenders in the United first-team squad, along with Bailly, Smalling, Jones and Victor Lindelof.

Valencia is one of seven players who are technically approaching the last six months of their contract.

Mourinho has made 46 changes in United's 15 Premier League matches this season as he struggles to settle on a regular XI and a number of players have spent prolonged spells out of the side.

Darmian wanted to return to Italy but United did not receive an acceptable offer.

Pereira, Darmian, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Anthony Martial and the on-loan James Wilson have an identical arrangement, though United have the option of an additional year to retain the septet until the summer of 2020.

Mourinho revealed last week he wanted to make one signing in the winter window and it is believed United would have to sell to make way for a new arrival.
