Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has received overwhelming support from his players to get the Manchester United job on a permanent basis.

He is doing a really good job.

Caretaker boss Solskjaer has led the club to six straight wins since taking charge and, as Mirror Sport revealed last week, the squad is fully behind him getting the job this summer.

United stars Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard have both spoken up to offer their full backing to Solskjaer who has completely changed the mood at Old Trafford.

Pogba says he has gone from “being in the shadows” under Jose Mourinho now to “always smiling” under Solskjaer.

Mauricio Pochettino has been United’s No1 choice while Zinedine Zidane is also a leading contender but the support towards Solskjaer getting the nod may prove decisive with the Old Trafford hierarchy.

It's prepared him for big games and moments like that.
