Marouane Fellaini has been impressed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's start at Manchester United after a 'bad period' under Jose Mourinho.

Fellaini made two appearances under Solskjaer before joining Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Luneng Taishan on February 1, bringing an end to a five-and-a-half year spell at Old Trafford.

Mourinho consistently defended Fellaini amid criticism from United fans, but the midfielder admits his former club badly struggled towards the end of the Portuguese's tenure.

Fellaini admits he will miss big Champions League nights, but insists he's excited for his new challenge in China.
