Only Half of Tickets for the Champions League Final Will Go to Supporters Only half of the tickets allocated for this season’s Champions League Final will go to supporters, with the other 50% going to sponsors.

This year’s glamorous show-piece event will take place at Ateltico Madrid’s plush new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on June 1, and there’s a pretty decent chance of British representation given four English clubs have made it through to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2009.

But plenty of fans will probably be left disappointed as, according to a report by JOE, UEFA have revealed that just over half (34,000) of the 63,500 capacity of the stadium will be made available for supporters of the two finalists.

Around 5,500 briefs will go on general sale to public, while a massive 25,500 tickets are being allocated to ‘local organising committees, UEFA and national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters’.

It seems a little unfair that so many genuine fans will probably miss out on one of the biggest nights in their club’s history, doesn’t it?

What do you think of the ratio?
