Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has questioned Marcus Rashford's preparation after the forward hobbled off injured against Wolves.

"I don’t think he’s used to being a substitute.

The England forward has 22 goals for club and country this season in 37 appearances.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer introduced Rashford as a second half substitute in the 1-0 FA Cup third round replay win at Old Trafford, but the 22-year-old was forced off 16 minutes later with a knock to the back.

And Ince, who played for both United and Liverpool, explained to BT Sport why he thought the striker could have been better prepared to come off the bench.

“He is a talisman, he is the main man, and 16 minutes down he’s getting dragged off again with a bad back which hopefully he’ll be OK for the Liverpool game.” Rashford's red-hot form has been integral to United's fortunes this season and he will be a big miss if he doesn't feature against Liverpool.

“I don't think he knows the process of being a substitute …how vigorously you warm up, do the right things.
