Manchester United hung on for a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday, and it appears they had a very specific game plan.

Speaking on Sky Sports after the match, Paul Pogba revealed what they had been training on during their sessions in Dubai last week, and how it led to the only goal of the match.

In addition, when asked what's changed about Pogba given his recent performances, he hinted that he's enjoying playing more under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer than previous manager Jose Mourinho.

Paul Pogba put in a good first half performance, and provided an excellent assist for the goal

Thanks to Paul Pogba's pass, Marcus Rashford was able to get in behind to score the goal

'It was really difficult, the system, the tactics we used to play. I like to be attacking, pressing, playing high. Defending is not my best attribute.

'The manager told me to get in the box, get goals, because you will score goals if you're in the box. My best example is Frank Lampard. He was the one who made those runs and he created a lot of chances, he scored a lot of goals.'

After a mistake from Kieran Trippier, Paul Pogba was able to get the ball and find the long pass to Marcus Rashford, who was able to slot the ball past Hugo Lloris for the goal.

Paul Pogba is enjoying playing more under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his performances prove it

'It’s a great ball but we’ve been training on this, we knew that was the weakness of Tottenham,' said Pogba.

'When they're attacking one side they get high and we need to attack the opposite side. So we've been training and that's what we did and we scored a goal.

'We prepared for this, we knew we could hurt them in this counter-attack. That's what we've been working on last week.

'[Rashford] makes a great run, I tried to give him the perfect pass, and it went well.'

After the win, Manchester United are now level on points with Arsenal, just behind on goal difference.

Interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now won his first six games in charge, the first time such a feat has been achieved by a United boss.

Manchester United will play Brighton next before travelling to Arsenal for a big FA Cup fourth round fixture.
