Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel highlighted the performances of Marcus Rashford , Scott McTominay and Mason Greenwood following their 2-1 win over Tottenham.

The Scot continued his fine season with another superb display, adding energy and power into the United midfield.

It was a vital win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, who were without the services of Anthony Martial, as they moved above Tottenham into sixth, eight points behind Chelsea in fourth spot.

In midfield, McTominay returned for the first time since injuring his ankle against Brighton.

The new Spurs manager was left unhappy on his return to Old Trafford as he suffered his first defeat since arriving in north London.

A brace from Rashford ensured United took all three points in their first reunion with Jose Mourinho .

"Then, of course,  the inclusion of Greenwood today, he didn't have too many chances, he didn't score but I think he's taking part in the game and giving space to Rashford, which was very important and I thought he played a really good game.
