Manchester United’s global reach never ceases to amaze me. The Red Devils’ presence not just in England, but across the world is just phenomenal. It’s what makes these pre-season tours so special.

After back-to-back tours to the United States, it was Australasia’s turn this time, as the fans flocked in huge numbers to watch their heroes in an open training session.

Apparently, 12,000 supporters went to the WACA cricket ground to get glimpses of the United players being put through their paces by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – but two, in particular, went above and beyond.

Both David de Gea and Daniel James showed their true class following the conclusion of the session, by spending time with fans and signing autographs. Thanks to journalist Simon Peach for the brilliant photos below…

Daniel James and David De Gea were among the players to spend a fair bit of time signing autographs for #MUFC fans. Made some people very happy in Perth

The word on the street is that James was the last man back into the dressing room following the training session, with the young man from Wales clearly enjoying his first tour with United.

It’s just super to see James taking time out of his hectic schedule to spend some time with his new supporters. The young man is showing the perfect attitude already, and despite the fact he’s yet to kick a ball in the famous red strip, he’s already well on his way to earning cult hero status.
