Speaking in the post-match interview (h/t Manchester Evening News), United midfielder Paul Pogba questioned the refereeing in the game against Burnley, which included a disallowed Harry Maguire goal.

However, the goal was disallowed by referee Kevin Friend for an infringement by Maguire.

Speaking after the match, Pogba stated that some decisions by the referee were ‘strange’ and that Maguire’s goal should have stood.

The Norwegian said to Sky Sports (h/t Manchester Evening News) that it was nowhere near a foul by Maguire.

The English defender rose highest at the back post to head in United’s opener in the first half.

The win also comes at a great time as Manchester United prepare to take on Liverpool in a mammoth derby this weekend.

Thankfully, the incident has little significance now that United got their goal and held on until the final whistle for the win.
