Manchester United are in pole position to sign Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld this summer for just £26m, according to reports.

Barcelona, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are all said to be interested and now United have joined the race, according to the report.

United were looking to sign Alderweireld last summer, with former manager Jose Mourinho identifying the Belgian as a key transfer target.

The Mirror claim that United are set to be at the front of the queue to sign the 30-year-old in the summer, who will be available for £26m in the final two weeks of this summer's transfer window.

The Mirror also claim United will listen to offers for defender Eric Bailly in the summer.

Meanwhile, United have joined the race to sign PSG midfielder Adrian Rabiot, according to a report in  The Sun.

That is due to a clause activated in Alderweireld's contract by Tottenham, who are yet to tie him down to a new deal themselves.
