United Set To Be Thwarted When It Comes To Landing Their Priority Summer Transfer Window Target

Recent weeks, well the last couple at least, have seen the speculation championed that Manchester United’s main summer target, once the transfer window opens, will be Jadon Sancho.

Seemingly, Manchester United’s desire to land the 18-year-old winger is such that they are willing to shell out a huge £100 million for the player if the media’s speculation has solid foundations.

However, according to the red-top publication, the Mirror, such a deal might be very unlikely to happen.

Our referenced source carries some remarks from the German club’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, which infers that Borussia Dortmund have no intention of selling their talented young asset, remarking about the possibility: Some frank and honest words there relating to a player who, already this season, has scored 9 goals and provided 12 assists for his side this season.

But the crux of the matter remains as to whether Manchester United would be prepared to hang on for a season, or possibly more, to land the teenager who gate-crashed the international scene earlier this season.

There’s no doubt that Sancho is an extraordinary young talent but if any deal is delayed, Manchester United run the risk of other big clubs, on the continent (and we know who they are) jumping on the bandwagon.

We can but wait and see.
