Manchester United to demand closer to £180m for Paul Pogba if midfielder and agent Mino Raiola keep pushing for Real Madrid or Juventus transferManchester United will raise their price for Paul Pogba to closer to £180million The clubs will take the step if the player and his agent continue to push for a sale Real Madrid and Juventus have been heavily linked with the midfielder It was first thought that United would demand £150m for Pogba if they relent

Manchester United will raise their valuation of Paul Pogba to closer to £180million if the French star and his agent Mino Raiola continue to agitate for a move.

It was thought that United would demand £150m for Pogba if they relent over his wish to leave Old Trafford for the second time in his career.

But after Pogba and Raiola both publicly indicated his intention to go this summer amid interest from Real Madrid and Juventus, United are ready to dig in and ramp up the price.

If Paul Pogba and his agent continue to push for a move Manchester United will raise his price

The United hierarchy have no wish to sell Pogba, who has up to three years left on his contract, and will make it as difficult as possible for him to leave.

But if they are forced to sell their record signing, the club are determined to get the best price possible. A £180m fee would mean United double their money on a player who cost £89m from Juventus three years ago.

Pogba is set to play in the first game on tour against Perth Glory in the Optus Stadium on Saturday after manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer warned on United's arrival in Australia that their hand would not be forced.

Mino Raiola remains keen to address his client's wishes and seal Pogba's second United exit

'We are Man United and we don't have to sell,' said Solskjaer. 'As far as I'm aware there have been no bids for any players.

'There's been loads of talk and speculation about many of our players, both ins and outs, but for me it's business as usual. When you're at Man Utd you expect these things to pop up in the summer.

'Paul has never been a concern for me. When he is on the pitch he's working hard - a true professional and a proud boy.

'I can't be sitting here talking about Paul all the time and what agents are saying. We've got a few years left of his contract and he's been fantastic when he has come back in training.

A £180m fee would see United double their money on a player who cost £89m three years ago

'Paul has never put himself out of the team, he has always wanted to play, he has always given his best. Agents talk all the time and we've not had any bids from any clubs.

'I'm not just talking about Mino Raiola, there are loads of agents out there who have got clients they are looking after. We've got players and a team that I've got to look after and manage.'
